Walkabout Report

20:54
Sue commenced an asking-out session, during
which both Bryn and Sarah got the impression of WWI soldiers.
Bob got a distinct feeling of someone stood directly behind and peering
over his shoulder.
Bryn sensed "Sutherland" or "Sutherlands".
21:00
Paul and Sue thought they saw something in
the corner, near the buildings, and then Paul heard movement on the
gravel from that direction.
21:01
Sue reported that something was moving around
us, it had already been around a couple of times but was keeping its
distance.
21:03
Bryn wasn't sure but he was sensing "holy
ground" and burials.
Sarah had heard a whistle, whilst she had been in the corner near
the buildings, but no one else could recall hearing it.
21:05
Paul wondered if there had ever been a mortuary
on the site.
21:07
Bryn was, again, sensing "holy ground".
21:16
Claire thought she had seen a brief white
fog in front of her, but questioned that it may have been the beam
from her torch.
21:33
Having repositioned at the swings, Bryn and
Bob heard footsteps from the nearby path and Sarah thought she had
heard taps on the metal fence.
21:35
Sue and Paul reported hearing taps on the
fence.
Sue and Bob asked for the swings to be moved, as on a previous investigation
here but, despite various requests, no movement was apparent.
21:45
We moved back onto the path after various
group members heard movement from that area.
Bryn was sensing Crusaders (knights) and a procession having passed
through here at some point in history.
21:54
Stood under the trees, where the path bends,
Sue picked up on a soldier from the period of WWI, whom she described
as pacing up and down the path and wanting a cigarette. She felt the
hospital that was once here had been used during wartime to treat
military personnel.
22:06
With the rest of the group now back outside
the buildings, Bob returned to the path in order to conduct an EVP
session. Later examination of the recording revealed nothing of interest.
22:33
We moved away from the buildings and began
to make our way out of the park.
Near to the park lodge, Bob felt there may have once been greenhouses
or glass-fronted structures built against the perimeter wall.
22:40
Walkabout ended.
