Thanet GhostWatch Property Investigation Report
The Granville Theatre, Ramsgate

Team 1 - Theatre, Backstage and side areas

Written by Bob.

On Stage

23:48
Sarah reported that the stage curtain was moving slightly although this may have been caused by a draught which was evident.

23:52
Asking-out commenced and shortly afterwards distant thuds were heard from the direction of the auditorium. Via walkie-talkie, Team 2 confirmed they had not made these noises but did point out that several members of staff were still on the premise.

A repeat of these noises was requested but there was no obvious response.

23:56
A marble trigger-object was placed on the stage and we requested it be moved.

Bryn, out-of-the-corner-of-the-eye, saw light disturbances in the corner towards the right wing, behind Sarah.

Martin noticed a foil curtain was moving slightly but we agreed it was more than likely due to a draught from a ceiling vent.

A Table Tipping session, on stage, commenced with Sarah, Martin, Jack and Bryony.

00:12
Sarah reported a touching sensation to her hair and, shortly after this, Bob heard movement in the left wing although, on investigation, he could not establish any obvious source for this.

Up until now there had been no movement of the table but Sarah and Bryony were now feeling a slight vibration.

00:16
Bryn heard and felt movement backstage from the dressing rooms so Bob went into this area with the camcorder. No obvious source could be located but whilst in this area Bob heard two thuds which, later, the rest of the team stated had not been caused by them.

00:19
With little signs of the table wanting to move, Sarah and Bryony tried on their own to see if having women only would make any difference.

00:22
More noises were heard from backstage and, as Bob moved towards this area, Bryn reported hearing additional footsteps after Bob had stopped moving.
Bob moved again and then stopped but this time Bryn didn't hear any extra steps.

With no obvious movement of the table it was decided to switch to a Glass Divination with Sarah, Bryony, Martin and Jack.

00:25
In an attempt to promote some activity, Bob went to each dressing room in turn to deliver a "curtain call".

00:28
A period of very pronounced floor creaking was heard by all the team from the left wing but by the time Bob had moved into that area it had stopped.

00:30
Bryony saw movement out-of-the-corner-of-the-eye and Bob felt a distinct vibration.

00:35
Bryn thought he had seen the emergency lighting dim briefly.

The glass finally began to move, appearing to follow Martin as he decided to leave the table. Martin moved again and, again, the glass followed him.

Bryn reported hearing several more thuds.

Those on the glass suspected this was not "Frederick" or "Charles" as on previous investigations, this was someone else.

Team 2, via walkie-talkie, asked if we had just slammed a door but we hadn't.

A brief contact was made with a "Trevor", whom it was felt preferred to be called "Trev" but, as soon as we asked when he had died, the glass indicated that he no longer wished to communicate.

The next contact related directly to a team member and is therefore not included in this report.

01:01
Break.

The marble trigger-object failed to make any obvious movement.

The temperature data logger showed no unusual temperature fluctuations.
