Hastings, East Sussex
Friends and Family Day Trip

Some took the adventurous route to the Castle, others used Jack's shortcut.

Hastings' Castle

Stood by the entrance gate, Jake picked-up on a "Henry" or "George".
Jake could 'see' he was dressed in armour, similar to a Roundhead, but only his top half was 'visible'.

At the end of a wall, Jake could 'smell' freshly baked bread, the odour was very strong.

After leaving the Castle, we returned to the Old Town for a look around and some shopping.

Jack took Bob, Julie and Claire to Hastings' "most haunted" passageway.
As they walked along it, Bob and Jack, at precisely the same moment, stopped and felt the tops of their heads - both had felt something brush over them, although there was nothing physical that could have been responsible.
Also at this time, Claire, who had been in front, had the sensation that she was going to be pushed downwards, with the feeling that everything was going to collapse above her.

Following a visit to the fish and chip shop, we headed home.

-----------------------------------------

Whilst in the churchyard, Jake and CB had collected a small stone in order to perform some psychometry the next day.
That night at Jake and CB's house, CB was woken by a female voice shouting in her ear.
Jake had got up in the early hours, to use the toilet, and had been greeted by four or five presences stood outside on the landing, not the sort of people he was happy to encounter.
He had also dreamt about the Parson.

Next day, Jake's first reading of the stone:
Surprisingly the stone felt peaceful but at the same time there was a mounting feeling of something not being right. It didn't feel as threatening as he had first anticipated it might and didn't feel much different to a stone from a normal churchyard.
Jake wasn't sure if the presences he had encountered on the landing were connected directly to this stone and decided to keep it for one more night.

Jake's second reading of the stone:
The dark circle that operated in the church crypt consisted of around four or five people with another five or so on the fringe.
These were well educated and well-to-do members of society. One member was the Parson who had become disillusioned with God and discovered he got better results with the dark arts.
Other members of this circle included landowners and a doctor - all middle classed citizens.
The ones on the fringe were those charged with finding the sacrifices (the victims), they also handled security, dealing with anyone who threatened their circle .
This group continued for eight or ten years until it was discovered by a stranger who managed to escape. This was a reporter from London who stumbled across them whilst researching another story. He later died in mysterious circumstances, and at a young age, following the publication of his article in a London newspaper which caused the group to disband and flee.
The Parson was later prosecuted for an unrelated crime.
Jake was picking-up on a "Jones", this could have been the Parson, he was tall with prominent, yellow disfigured front teeth - not a nice person.
After he had lost faith in God, he started this dark circle with some of his parishioners.
Initially they used animal sacrifices in their satanic worship but then moved on to children, usually teenage girls up to the age of fourteen, this also involved torture. Jake felt three had been murdered.
In the crypt they had a stone slab which they used as an alter - an "under altar".

The second night, with the stone in the house, was uneventful so Jake determined the previous night's events had not been connected to the stone, which he may keep as it now seems totally flat.
