General

For the purposes of the "Rules, Terms and Conditions", when referring to "member(s)" this also includes Core Team member(s) and Core Team Support member(s).

Any member spamming any interactive parts of this website, such as the Forums, is liable to have their membership terminated immediately and without prior notice.
IP addresses are logged and we may report the offending member to their Internet Service Provider.

Members must, at all times, respect the beliefs and opinions of other members, by all means debate a subject but do so in a civilised and appropriate manner.

Any member who harasses, abuses or launches a personal attack upon another member, be it in person or via email, via private message or via any interactive section of this website, such as the Forums, or via any other method is liable to have their membership terminated immediately and without prior notice - such behaviour will not be tolerated.

Pornographic images, bad language, obscene avatars and obscene signatures will not be tolerated on any part of this website, including the Forums, nor will links to pornographic and other unsuitable websites or items.

Any member who threatens the security and/or running of this website/forums/group is liable to have their membership terminated immediately and without prior notice.

Any member who divulges investigation locations/dates or any other information (which are specifically intended not to be common knowledge) to anyone outside of the "Investigators" group is liable to have their membership terminated immediately and without prior notice.

Do not give out any private and/or personal information, including your forum account password even if those asking for it claim to be the Forum Administrator or a Moderator.

The Forum Administrator and Moderators reserve the right to edit or delete member accounts and/or unsuitable posts which contravene the Rules, Terms and Conditions or for any other reason we see fit.

TGW investigations and other events requiring payment

When you put your name down for such investigations and other events be aware that you are then committed to pay the full and final cost due per member.
These payments will be not be refundable should you pull-out unless we can find a suitable replacement to take your place.

If you are not 100% certain that you can attend, then do not put your name down.
If you later decide that you can attend but the investigation/event is full, you will be placed on a reserve-list as a potential replacement should anyone be forced to pull-out due to unforeseen circumstances.

It is each member's own responsibility to be aware of such investigation/event dates and times, and also the payment deadlines for these which will be clearly posted in the Forums.
Therefore, we recommend that you check the Forums regularly, or at least once or twice each week.
Should you have computer problems and are unable to do so, please let one of the Team know.

Unless you have contacted a member of the Team concerning computer problems, members of the "Investigator Group" who have not logged into the Forums for a period exceeding 1 month will be removed from that group (without prior notice) and will no longer be able to participate in any activities.

Unless you have contacted a member of the Team concerning computer problems, any members who have not logged into the Forums for a period exceeding 3 months may have their accounts and membership cancelled without prior notice.
We reserve the right to retain any posts you have made on the Forums and to retain any contributions you may have made to the main site.

We reserve the right to terminate any membership for any reason we see fit and do not have to give an explanation or prior warning.
If membership is terminated by either you or ourselves, we reserve the right to retain any posts you have made on the Forums and to change or delete your name and/or username or, if we so decide, we reserve the right to delete your forum account and any associated posts entirely.
If membership is terminated by either you or ourselves, we reserve the right to retain any information and any associated material(s) published on the site (or yet to be published on the site) concerning your experiences during any property investigation, walkabouts or any other event organised by "Thanet GhostWatch" or "Thanet GhostWatch Property Investigation" or, if we so decide, we reserve the right to remove any such material(s).
Should it be decided to retain any such material(s), we reserve the right, to change your name and/or username to a pseudonym.

Thanet GhostWatch, consists of two elements:
1). "Thanet GhostWatch Property Investigation" - this as the name implies, solely runs the Property Investigations. These are organised events which carry Public Liability Insurance.
2). "Thanet GhostWatch" - this runs everything else, such as the Website and Forums.
"Thanet GhostWatch" also runs the Walkabouts and all other social events which are informal get-togethers in public places or spaces, or places/spaces which are open to the public. These activities do not carry insurance and you, including guests, attend these entirely at your own risk, Thanet GhostWatch will not be liable in any way.

Thanet GhostWatch reserves the right to cancel a Walkabout or other activity for any reason it sees fit.

Thanet GhostWatch Property Investigation reserves the right to cancel an event for any reason it sees fit.

No one under the age of 18 years will be permitted on any event or activity (proof of age may be required). With the exception of family events, when under 18's are permitted only when accompanied by a responsible adult member or responsible adult guest.

Section A and B applies to members, guests and visitors:
A). By participating in a property investigation, walkabout or any other event organised by "Thanet GhostWatch" or "Thanet GhostWatch Property Investigation", you hereby grant Thanet GhostWatch the exclusive, royalty-free right in perpetuity to record and publish (in whatever form we see fit) your name (or pseudonym) and any relevant information concerning your experiences during any such property investigation, walkabout or any other event organised by "Thanet GhostWatch" or "Thanet GhostWatch Property Investigation". We may also allow Other Parties to publish this material in order to publicise and promote "Thanet GhostWatch" and/or "Thanet GhostWatch Property Investigation".
B). You grant Thanet GhostWatch the non-exclusive, royalty-free right in perpetuity to publish (in whatever form we see fit) any material such as text, articles, forum posts, photographs, video, audio recordings etc that you may submit to Thanet GhostWatch. We may also allow Other Parties to publish this material in order to publicise and promote "Thanet GhostWatch" and/or "Thanet GhostWatch Property Investigation".
By making any submissions to Thanet GhostWatch, including posts to the Forums, you are giving your consent to Section B.
Should you or we decide to terminate your membership, Section A and B remain valid - "perpetuity" means perpetuity.

"Thanet GhostWatch Property Investigation"

Only members of the "Investigators Group" and "Guest Investigators" can participate in property investigations.

Member payments for any associated costs may be required in advance (including the additional charge to cover insurance and any out-of-pocket expenses)

By attending, you confirm that you have no medical and/or physical and/or psychological condition(s) which could make it unsafe for you, or other members, to participate in this Property Investigation.

By attending, females confirm that they are not knowingly pregnant. If you are pregnant, you cannot participate.

Anyone appearing to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will not be permitted to participate.

Anyone consuming alcohol and/or drugs during the course of the investigation will be instructed to leave.

For your safety and the safety of others, each participant must have a fully-functioning torch.

To participate, you will be required to sign a "Declaration of Entry" (a specific set of rules) and also sign a Disclaimer.

Members must remain in their allocated group when splitting into teams. Members may only split off from their team to a different location with the consent of the team leader(s).

Walkabouts etc

You attend a Night-time Walkabout, Daytime Walkabout, Day-trip, Family Day Out, Walkabout Investigation or any other activity entirely at your own risk, this also applies to guests.
These take place in public places or spaces, or places/spaces which are open to the public, over which we have no control, therefore Thanet GhostWatch will not be liable in any way whatsoever.
To participate in most events, you will be required to sign a Disclaimer.

Anyone appearing to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will not be permitted to participate.

Anyone consuming alcohol and/or drugs will not be permitted to continue.

For your safety and the safety of others, during night-time activities, each participant must have a fully-functioning torch.

Anyone behaving irresponsibly will not be permitted to continue.
